Till the 1950’s the parents were oblivious to the growth of their child in the womb. 1950’s was the time when the ultrasound came into being, making it easier to know about the growth of the child. As more and more children are being born with Genetic Disorders, parent’s concerns now revolve around how they can have a healthy child. We at IGENOMIX are constantly trying to research and develop ways in which we can assist parents in having healthy children. Whether it is a natural pregnancy or through IVF, IGENOMIX has tests that help in detecting more than 600 genetic abnormalities. Very few people know that even though they are leading a normal life but they might be a carrier of a genetic disorder which is recessive and if both the parents are a carrier of a genetic disorder that increases the chances of an affected child up to 25%. Little do they know that most miscarriages occur due to the chromosomal abnormalities. Therefore, IGENOMIX came up with tests such as CGT (Carrier Genetic Test) and PGD (Preimplantation Genetic Diagnostics), which are performed before the conception to detect for any kind of genetic abnormalities. Our team consists of experienced individuals who are bent at providing the best results to our patients, with the use of the most advanced technology. Other tests apart from CGT and PGD are, PGS (Preimplantation Genetic Screening), ERA (Endometrial Receptivity Test), POC (Products of Conception Test), NACE (Non-Invasive Analysis of Chromosomal Examination), and MitoScore-Mitochondrial Biomarker. Last week, we had an insightful workshop on “Genetic Tests for Medical Diagnosis: A Doctor’s Guide to Modern Technologies and Advanced Applications” at Queen Rania Al Abdullah Children’s Hospital, Jordan; in the presence of the General director of Royal medical services .
The workshop focused on the tests used in genetic medicine and their pivotal role in diagnosing hereditary neurological diseases, investing in medical education and scientific research.
This is to shed the light on the diagnostic tests that the doctors rely on to identify these diseases and support to have an informed decisions.

March 21st is World Down Syndrome Day 💛💙, a moment to highlight Down’s Syndrome, a chromosomal disorder characterized by the presence of an extra chromosome 21. This condition brings significant medical challenges and developmental hurdles for those affected.

During pregnancy, the NACE test can indicate the risk of this condition. Early diagnosis makes it possible to treat a baby with this syndrome at an early stage and thus improves its quality of life.
