Terry's Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer

Terry's Foundation for Pancreatic Cancer Terry's Foundation For Pancreatic Cancer was set up in the memory of Terry Moore.

Our aim is to raise awareness of pancreatic cancer in the UAE and around the World with the aim of one day stamping this disease out. Terry Moore was an unbelievable husband, father, uncle, brother, son and friend. He passed away after suffering with Pancreatic Cancer in April 2011 after a year long fight, we refuse to say he lost the battle as he fought every minute of everyday right up until the end . Terry was a warrior and refused to let this disease get the better of him, highlighted by his determination to beat this disease, originally given a prognosis of 6 weeks Terry fought and fought for over a year. Those of us left behind have a duty to make sure that Terry's death was not in vain, he fought for every last inch of his life, now we will continue his fight and try to raise as much awareness as possible so as no others will have to go through the awful ordeal that Terry, his family and many other families have been through. At Terry's we have one goal, to do whatever we can to raise awareness of this silent killer. Please join our page and get involved in our activities, we have plenty of events planned in and around the UAE to help raise the awareness. Our giving and fundraising group to raise much needed awareness and funds to help combat this disease can be found here: http://bit.ly/sJ8h3D

Without a doubt, we lit the world purple yesterday! We are so grateful for this community – for all who have been affected by this disease and tirelessly continue to raise awareness and funds, for our WPCC members and sponsors who spent thousands of hours planning the WPCD campaign, for the newcomers who just learned about the staggering statistics and joined the fight – WPCD may be over, but we will never stop working to increase awareness and improve patient outcomes. πŸ’œ

November 21st: pancreatic cancer day

Pancreatic cancer is a difficult cancer to diagnose because it is unusually aggressive, symptoms are vague (the most common being weight loss, abdominal pain and jaundice) and generally appear at an advanced stage of the disease.

Pancreatic cancer receives less than 2% of overall funding research, we need more to change the stats
