Baby Loss Awareness Week runs from 9th - 15th of October every year and during this significant week of increased awareness and visibility for the baby loss community we host a very special free Evening of Remembrance on Sunday 13th October for the families of our community. The Nature Escape at Al Barari provides a beautiful setting for parents, families and baby loss support workers in the UAE to come together in loving remembrance and recognition of every baby who died within pregnancy, birth or infancy.
Every year we offer the opportunity to have a wooden star made engraved with your baby's name, their nickname or any word that you feel relates to your baby which can be collected from the Evening of Remembrance or home delivery can be arranged.
This year our event begins at 5pm with a very special tree planting for the first time. If you would like to have a star made for your baby or to contribute to having trees planted at Nature Escapes in memory of your child, baby or loss, you can find the link to contribute here on our website:
https://www.lovethroughlosssupport.com/memory-making
You can purchase trees here (there are multiple options, so please pick what feels right for you) and the trees will be delivered to the gardens ready to plant. If you would also like to take part in planting the trees, then we will meet at 5pm at the stage in nature escape gardens and we will all go together to plant trees and create something that we can return to, to honour our hearts.
Everyone is welcome to come and help with the planting or you can come and watch the tree planting, or you can just know that your contribution is being planted by those in the Love Through Loss support community, there is no pressure to attend, we will share pictures on our social pages after the event.
We will plant the trees together at 5pm on Sunday the 13th October before we begin our remembrance ceremony, readings and lighting of candles at 7pm.
You are welcome to bring a picnic rug and your own refreshments. Siblings are welcomed to be part of the event. We understand this may feel triggering for some parents and wish to reassure there is space to take a walk with your own thoughts in nature if you need some space. Mosquito repellant is advisable. Light refreshments will be served. Free parking is available nearby.
The Evening of Remembrance will finish with a candle lighting at 7pm which provides an opportunity for parents, family and friends to come together in remembrance of all babies who lit up our hearts and lives.
There is no need to RSVP but please do feel you can reach out to us if you have any questions. 052 817 9235
