A 62-year-old patient presented with varicose disease of the great saphenous vein and its tributaries in the right lower limb, complicated by a trophic ulcer.

Although the varicose veins were barely noticeable, over the past year she developed:
— skin darkening — a non-healing wound in the lower third of the leg
