The Plenary Sessions on Day 3 of the 22nd AAU Congress delivered deep clinical insight into two of the most critical areas in urologic oncology — bladder cancer and prostate cancer — equipping delegates with evidence-based strategies to elevate patient outcomes.

In the Plenary Session on Bladder Cancer, experts walked delegates through the latest diagnostic pathways, risk stratification methods, and evolving treatment algorithms. Attendees gained clarity on optimizing management for both non–muscle-invasive and muscle-invasive disease, with updates on biomarkers, perioperative therapy, and precision-guided care.

The Prostate Cancer Plenary Sessions explored modern approaches to screening, staging, and therapeutic decision-making. Day 3 of the 22nd AAU Congress brought a powerful exchange of global expertise through an outstanding lineup of International Society Lectures — each offering delegates invaluable clinical perspectives shaping the future of urology worldwide.

The SAARC Association of Urological Surgeons opened with Md Jahangir Kabir’s talk on balancing tradition and innovation, guiding delegates through the continued relevance of open surgery in an era dominated by robotics, and when traditional approaches still offer superior outcomes.

The Urological Association of Asia (UAA) followed with Ponco Birowo’s eye-opening lecture on “The Andrology Revolution”, where attendees learned how AI is transforming diagnostics, treatment precision, and personalized care in men’s health.

From the Urological Society of India (USI), Rajeev T. Puro explored the latest technical advances in robot-assisted reconstruction, giving delegates practical insights into optimizing outcomes across a range of reconstructive procedures.

The Russian Society of Urology (RSU), led by Vsevolod Matveev, provided a deep comparative analysis of nephroureterectomy vs conservative surgery for upper tract urothelial carcinoma, helping clinicians refine decision-making for complex oncologic cases.

Day 2 of the 22nd AAU Congress in Muscat, Oman was all about innovation and collaboration! Delegates experienced 5 International Society Lectures from EAU, ICS, SIU, AFU, and IEA, bringing global urology updates to the Middle East.

The scientific program featured 4 plenary sessions on robotic surgery for upper and lower urinary tracts, female urology and voiding dysfunction, and reconstructive surgery. Hands-on learning continued with an Advanced Laser Workshop, RIRS training, and an instructional course on muscle-invasive bladder cancer.

Semi-live surgeries showcased cutting-edge techniques like Thulium Fiber Laser systems, ThuFLEP, and Minimal Invasive PCNL, while industry symposiums introduced innovations such as the 6.3Fr Slim Flexible Ureteroscope and da Vinci 5 for achieving the Quintuple Aim.

The day ended on a high note with a spectacular Gala Dinner and tokens of appreciation for all AAU joint societies—a perfect blend of science, skills, and networking!
