Some people teach you surgery.
A rare few shape your entire life.

My deepest respect to Dr. Ashok Gupta, Padma Shri awardee and one of India’s finest plastic surgeons.

In 1996, during my MCh Plastic Surgery board exam, he examined me and hand-picked me. That single moment changed the trajectory of my life.

From him, I learnt far more than aesthetic surgery —
✔️ complex reconstructive surgery
✔️ academic rigor
✔️ leadership
✔️ business sense
✔️ integrity
✔️ life lessons that no textbook teaches

He helped me secure my first job in Bahrain, recommended me across the world for advanced training, and played a pivotal role in my move to Dubai.

Everything that followed… is history.

This post is not nostalgia.
It’s acknowledgment of roots.
And a reminder that no success is truly self-made.
