They reached out to me after a self referral online. The service was quick and efficient and I was able to get some support very soon after. I had sessions with Aqsa who was so lovely and so kind. She helped me sift through a lot of the mental noise and I am really grateful to her. This is the feedback I left for her personal website (pasting here for ease):My time with Aqsa was very eye-opening. Usually, I read and research mental health topics to help myself heal during hard times but her service opened my eyes to all of my blindspots. The focus was only on me and not other people - such a valuable perspective shift - and allowed me to be precise and intentional with the work I was doing for myself. Aqsa spoke in a kind manner and was patient with me as I expressed my perspective that was scattered at times, patient as I asked a bunch of questions when taking in the new concepts she was sharing. We built a ‘toolkit’ surrounding unhelpful thinking and self regulation, prioritising what's within my control and learning how to effectively communicate and set boundaries. It all played a huge role in the hard times I was having and helped me know how to navigate future hard and uncertain times. I'm so grateful for her open mindedness and the cultural perspective she integrated into things.
