Jaggery, honey, cane sugar, coconut sugar - they're all the same, especially for babies and toddlers. What matters most is how these strong tastes shape their eating habits, rather than the health benefits. Toddlers are still adapting to flavors, and introducing strong tastes like sweet or salty foods can overpower the natural flavors, leading to picky eating. Every food has its own unique taste and flavor, but strong flavors can dominate and make it hard for kids to appreciate the real taste.
So even if you want to give sweetness to your babies , make sure it’s not strong and keep it to natural sweetness. For example using fresh fruits as sweetener :)
We parents have a very important role in shaping our kids eating habits in future.
