Finding Stability: Ashtanga Yoga Workshop with Reńee Cerro

Saturday January 24
12:00 PM - 2:30 PM

AED 195 (pre-booking)
AED 250 (on the day)

Stability is a core building block in the practice of Ashtanga yoga. It helps us to cultivate the discipline necessary to maintain a daily asana practice and gives us grace and ease in the postures themselves— from keeping us upright to giving us the necessary tools to do more advanced asanas later in the practice.

In this workshop we’ll discuss some best practices to maintaining a daily asana practice over a long time— especially when it’s less than convenient. Explore the foundational postures and how we find stability in them.

And we’ll have some fun looking down the road at inversions like forearm balance and handstand to see how the foundational stability we cultivate now will benefit us later.

About Renée
Renée began practising Ashtanga yoga in 2005 after meeting her Guru, Sri K. Pattabhi Jois on tour in NYC. She immediately started making annual trips to Mysore to practise with her teacher Sharath Jois and was authorised by him in 2009. She also practised regularly with and assisted Eddie Stern in NYC, and spent many years with Rolf and Marci Naujokat in Goa.
