Fun day filming with one of my golfers who very kindly donated his time! Extremely interesting. We were just film a sequence about golf movement assessment (to be published soon) we were just going through some basic functional movements and came across a whole line of kinetic chain enquiry that the traditionally accepted industry standard testing would have never revealed (he at present will fly through the TPI testing procedures without a fail) . A simple day filming might have unlocked a chain reaction that might help him put the “”final”” missing swing puzzles together. Exciting times! Days like this make the endless courses and days of developing my testing procedures worthwhile! .golf .dubai .dubai

Dr Russell Referred a client to me in December - presenting with longterm chronic pain - back & hip issues, herniated disk, “unable to stand for periods of time”, “unable to sit on low level chairs or couches”, “generally moving around was painful all the time” client profile also classed overweight / obese 😞😫

He was very honest and said “you either address your strength issues, (which he carried out tests for)or the pain will continue and most likely get worse” - this is the only reason she took PT! 👏 💡

Swipe left you will see client strength tests went up by 50% in her retesting 💪 her pain has disappeared 🙌- swipe left left to see see her testimonial. 💯 The severe muscle tremor / shaking she had in her legs is also gone. She suffered extreme atrophy from long periods of sitting over the past couple of years which, as we all know, is the new smoking! Best yet - did all of this in EIGHT sessions training twice a week!! 🏋️‍♀️🤸🏽!! ( no pictures, or videos)

did we need to address weight - possibly - did we lose weight? No, we lost and gained 3-5kg over this period of time - Client was previously on weight loss medication and regained all the weight and some - going this route without medication. 📝

Her quality of life is continuingly improving so it is not an issue right now - strength and mobility in your body sometimes are far more important than body fat or weight. (Within reason) 😉 and it’s not right to blame only the weight 🤷‍♀️

Without the gentle push from Dr. Russell and the guidance and motivation of retesting, this client would not be in the place she is today and happily signing up for more training and willing to work on the next phase of hip stability and mobility.

DANGER😡🤢 IMPORTANT NOTICE!!!!!

THIS IS A WARNING POST!

WHO ARE YOU BEING TREATED BY AND WHAT ARE THEIR CREDENTIALS!

I see more and more people advertising that they practice osteopathy. The question is, "are they"?

I spent 4 years and $1000's doing an honours degree in Osteopathy and apparently now, one can learn Osteopathy Assessment and Treatment in 1.5 hours through on-demand videos online.

Please be careful who you are seeing and check their credentials because
there is a huge difference between

* A 4-year degree

* Learning a few techniques used by osteopaths taught by an osteopath on a weekend course

&

* Learning Osteopathic Assessment and Treatment in 1.5 hours through an online video.

My advice is to check the practitioner’s credentials before you see them and realise, if they are trying to sell themselves as something they are not, that this might just permeate deeper 🤔

Side Note---- Just because I have done the relevant qualification in "DRY NEEDLING" and I have the ability to use acupuncture needles in my clinical practice, it does not give me the right to advertise that I do "ACUPUNCTURE"

A large percentage of my new patients are referred to me and have very little knowledge of what Osteopaths do, so here is a brief outline.
