Bioplastic Suncatchers 🌿✨
One of those slow, cozy crafts that turns a simple afternoon into something really special. It’s part nature walk, part creativity, and part keepsake—and kids love seeing their little collections turn into something they can hang in the window.
Ingredients:
Unflavored gelatin powder
Boiling water
String or yarn
Leaves, flowers, or small twigs
Silicone molds or muffin tins
Directions:
Start with a little nature walk and let the kids collect leaves, flowers, or tiny twigs.
Arrange your finds inside the molds however you like.
In a bowl, mix 1 part gelatin powder with 4 parts boiling water until fully dissolved.
Carefully pour the mixture over the natural pieces, making sure everything is covered.
Add a piece of string or yarn if you want to hang them later.
Let them sit undisturbed for 24–48 hours until fully set.
Once firm, gently remove from the molds.
Hang in a sunny window and enjoy the light shining through.
Such a simple way to make something beautiful—and a little memory to go with it 💛
