The University of Sharjah Nursing Society (UOSNS) is an official University of Sharjah (UOS) Nursing Students' Union society. The society is a student organization offering leadership and participatory opportunities with student nurses elected by their colleagues in the Health Sciences College. UOSNS aims to represent the Department of Health Sciences’ nursing students to ensure they have the best
experience possible during their time at the UOS, play a vital role in communicating nursing students across all years of the undergraduate program, and to increase awareness of the society and extend to other health sciences students (non-nursing). Moreover, it coordinates social events, addresses issues and concerns that affect nursing students, and connects students to the campus community. UOSNS also provides a means of contact with other organizations and groups and helps nursing students at UOS communicate with professional nursing groups throughout the UAE. Examples of UOSNS activities include planning formal and informal educational opportunities that are specifically relevant to nursing students (such as guest lectures, careers advice, study/revision sessions, conferences, etc.), planning social events, trips, other extra curricula activities, and fundraising and charity work. We invite nurses from all years to join us for opportunities to share experiences, gain advice and improve peer support to enhance learning.
