📌Anterior and posterior tilting of the pelvis and its effect on the kinematics of the lumbar spine.

👉(A and C) Anterior pelvic tilt extends the lumbar spine and increases the lordosis. This action tends to shift the nucleus pulposus anteriorly and reduces the diameter of the intervertebral foramen.

👉 (B and D) Posterior pelvic tilt flexes the lumbar spine and decreases the lordosis. This action tends to shift the nucleus pulposus posteriorly and increases the diameter of the intervertebral foramen. Muscle activity is shown in red.
