🔎 History:
Recurrent episodes of wheezing and shortness of breath
Symptoms worse at night and during physical activity
History of allergies (dust, pollen)
No recent infections
🩺 Examination:
Wheezing on auscultation
Mild use of accessory muscles
Vital signs: slightly elevated respiratory rate, O₂ saturation: 94%
📌 Diagnosis:
Acute Asthma Exacerbation
💊 Management:
✅ Short-acting bronchodilator inhaler (Salbutamol)
✅ Oral steroids if severe
✅ Avoiding triggers (dust, smoke, pets)
✅ Educating family on asthma action plan
✅ Follow-up after 1–2 weeks
⚠️ Important:
Prompt recognition and treatment of asthma attacks in children prevents respiratory distress and hospitalization.
