Principal Kisma Panthier Jn Pierre had the pleasure of reuniting with one of her former Afterschool Program students from the Madame Jn Pierre days. India, who received guidance and support from the time she was in Grade 3, stopped by to thank our Principal for assisting with her academics and for also encouraging her to believe in herself. India has now completed her CXC exams. 🙌👏💯

Did you know that we curate our very own tea bags with items grown and handpicked from our school's garden? This is just one of the ways that we collectively promote sustainability and cultivate a hands-on approach to learning. It is so rewarding to see our students actively involved in the entire process, from cultivation to creating their own teas, which has also helped to foster a deeper appreciation for natural ingredients.

We also create our own bottled seasoning but that's for another post! In the meantime, grab one of our very own Mill Academy tea bags and start your day feeling refreshed and energized!

The Mill Academy Ltd. Student Council proudly presents its inaugural MILL TALENT SHOW, which will feature a variety of student performances like dances, singing, dramatic presentations, and instrumental acts.

📅 Thursday 26th June, 2025
🕰️ 3:15pm - 5pm
🎟️ $10 for adults | $5 for children 12 years & under

Proceeds will fund the purchase an electronic school bell to improve punctuality and class management. This event is especially inspiring as it underscores the students' proactive efforts to address issues of punctuality with class schedules, with the introduction of the electronic bell. It also highlights the students' determination and leadership, making the talent show not just a showcase of talent but also a celebration of their empowerment and community spirit. Some important milestones to note are the formation of the Student Council, the petitioning of the Principal to host the fundraising event, and the students' collaborative efforts to organize the Talent Show with guidance and support from teachers and parents. In subsequent posts, we'll share more of the backstory of the formation of the Student Council which included a comprehensive electoral process, campaigning, presentation of manifestos, "party" entertainment, and voting...stay tuned!
