We pause to remember Hugo E. Rey Sr. on what would have been his 89th birthday. He will live on through his legacy. Forever in our hearts. 🕊️🎈

30th December 2023- We spent the day reflecting on Hugo Elmede Rey Sr. and all that he meant to us at Rey’s Funeral Home.
Hugo, along with his wife, Yvonne Rey introduced the first funeral establishment in Anguilla- Rey’s Funeral Home. He was genuine, caring, selfless and determined-always searching for new ways to improve the experience and quality of services offered at their business.
He was truly an inspiration to us and we continue to keep his memory alive and ensure that his legacy lives on by continuing to offer dignified funeral services for families in their time of need. We will always treasure the wise words and fond memories we shared.
We aim to always celebrate him, his accomplishments and the colossal impact he has had on us and well as others he came into contact with during his time on Earth.

The Chief Coroner for Devon and Cornwall, Mr. Philip Spinney, is visiting Anguilla and working with Mr Benjamin the senior Coroner to review the legislation and practices following an unnatural death.

As part of the review which will cover the police investigation, post-mortem, and inquest, he would like to meet with family members who have lost a loved one through an unnatural death in Anguilla. This meeting will provide an opportunity to share experiences and offer feedback on current practices.

If you would like to participate, you are invited to a meeting Tuesday 11 November 2025 between 16:30-18:00 at the Governor’s Office. Please inform Darren Love at Darren.Love@fcdo.gov.uk if you wish to join.
