✨ SHINE aims to build the capacity of youth NGOs to use innovative non-formal tools and practices that foster community engagement and active participation of young people in public life.

The project sets four specific objectives:

✔️ to improve the knowledge and capacity of youth NGOs to promote citizenship competence and media literacy through non-formal education among young people

✔️ to foster cooperation and exchange of best practices in the field of youth work in promoting active participation and combating fake news and disinformation

✔️ to support the qualitative development of youth work through the application of training materials for critical thinking, integrated problem solving, media literacy, human rights, leadership skills, and self-reflection

✔️ to bring awareness to the cultural diversity across Europe, by empowering and engaging young people and youth workers

The SHINE project is funded by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme.

The EPIC experience continues! 🚀

At the beginning of December, People in Focus brought together young people for a National Hackathon on Social Entrepreneurship.

Over two dynamic days, participants worked in teams to identify community challenges, exchange diverse ideas, and co-create innovative social entrepreneurship solutions with real impact. Through collaboration, creativity, and hands-on work, young changemakers strengthened their skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and pitching. 💡✨

A special congratulations to the winning team, whose idea stood out for its innovation, feasibility, and social impact! 🏆👏

The activity took place within the Entrepreneurial Citizenship for Social Change , co-funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ programme.

Last week, we held the Youth Promoting Informed Vote – PIVOT final event in Albania 🇦🇱. This marked the conclusion of an incredible 2-year journey ⏳, full of activities, learning, and impactful moments 💡🤝.

At this final event, professionals shared their insights, highlighting the importance of youth participation in media, civic life, and decision-making. Former PIVOT Academy participants also shared their experiences 🌱, the impact of the Academy, what they learned 📚, and offered heartfelt advice ❤️ on how being active and involved truly makes a difference.

We are grateful and proud of every young person who joined us on this journey 🙌✨. Your dedication, enthusiasm, and commitment to growth and real change inspire us all 🌍.
