I’m beyond grateful and humbled to share that I’ve officially received my license as a Clinical Psychologist from the HCPC. ❤️

This milestone took four degrees, nearly 12 years of study, and two years of paperwork and persistence—but I saw it through. I couldn’t have done it without the unwavering support of my loved ones and peers.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart. 🙏

Becoming (to the best of my knowledge) the first HCPC-licensed Clinical Psychologist based in Armenia is both a huge privilege and a profound responsibility. I’m committed to putting this qualification to meaningful use through my work with the Mental Health Awareness Initiative and Millennial Psychologist. 🙌

Here’s to continued growth, advocacy, and building a future where is prioritised and protected.

So exited to be sharing this article.
It’s the first step in my journey to publishing results of cunducted during my recent studies at Queen Mary University of London.

Throughout my research, I have come to understand the critical role that social acknowledgment plays in the development and prognosis of (PTSD), particularly in communities with prior and ongoing exposure to Potentially Traumatic Events (PTEs).

Future updates coming up soon 💙🙌

🌍 It was an absolute honor to speak at the British Psychological Society , where I had the unique opportunity to wear several hats at once (Mental Health Awareness Initiative, Millennial Psychologist & BPS Psychotherapy Section) sharing insights as a chartered psychologist, and mental health advocate.

My presentation on “The Role of Psychologists in Changing Geopolitical Landscapes” explored how psychologists are playing increasingly essential role in navigating and addressing the psychological impact of global crises, conflicts, and political transitions.

Reflecting on the American Psychological Association’s 2021 trend report on the role of psychologists across political divide, I never imagined that only a few years later, I would be standing before an audience to delve into these very issues. 🙌

Inspired by that report, this talk touched on how mental health professionals can be pivotal in offering support amidst shifting political landscapes and how our role continues to expand in response to global challenges.

For those interested in a deeper dive, I’ve shared a link below to the full presentation, along with my recent interview in , where I discuss the inspiration behind this talk and my journey as a chartered psychologist working at the intersection of mental health and global events.

A special thank you to the BPS and everyone involved in organizing this festival. ❤️

And a heartfelt shoutout to the attendees—your engagement and over 26 insightful questions at the end of the session made this an unforgettable experience. ❤️ 💙 🧡

Together, we’re advancing the conversation on mental health in a rapidly changing world. 🚀

Leading my first 🇬🇧 workshop on was an incredibly meaningful experience. ❤️

As a descendant of survivors, it was a profound privilege to create a safe space for participants to explore their historical and cultural identities, confront , and foster empathy across diverse backgrounds. ❤️‍🩹🙌

This workshop took place as part of the British Psychological Society BPS Psychotherapy Section Annual Conference, where I had the honor of serving on the organizing committee and chairing two powerful sessions on and .

It was a humbling experience to bring Armand Volkas’s therapeutic approach—based in drama therapy and the arts—to this setting, allowing participants to work through their collective trauma in ways that transform shared pain into pathways for healing.

It reminds us that political solutions alone can’t resolve intercultural conflicts; true reconciliation requires addressing the underlying emotions and unconscious drives that shape our histories.

In the workshop across geopolitical boundaries, we witnessed participants acting as “emotional pioneers,” connecting with one another through vulnerability and courage. 🚀

I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and for everyone who joined this journey, showing how creative expression and can bridge divides and help sow the seeds of peace.

What a Sunday! 🙌

Yesterday, I had my first-ever co-production session in Armenia, and let me just say—it was 110% worth it! 💪 A massive shoutout to the
for tireless support and to .yerevan for being the most gracious host.

The day was all about sharing responsibility and resources with our incredible stakeholders. 🙏

It was amazing to see our MHPSS providers, volunteers, and independent professionals—who’ve been working together for over 5 hours —come together to move the mission forward. 🌱

This was collaboration/ coproduction at its finest, and the energy was unreal. This session wasn’t just productive—it was game-changing. Looking forward to what’s next! 🚀

From navigating the global challenges of the pandemic in 2020, to founding the Mental Health Awareness Initiative in 2021 in aftermath to the Artsakh War❤️‍🩹, to implementing mental health and psychosocial support programs for forcibly displaced Armenians of Artsakh in 2023, these experiences have underscored the critical need for resilience and collective action in times of crisis.

I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share these experiences with others, as BPS Psychotherapy Section representative fostering collective efforts toward building a more compassionate and equitable world for all.🚀

We interviewed our treasurer, Gevorg Gharbian, about his presentation to this year’s BPS Psychology Careers Festival.
