Ստուգումներից և կարճատեսության շտկման հնարավոր եղանակների քննարկումից հետո ընտրվել էր Օրթոկերատոլոգիական ոսպնյակներով կարճատեսության շտկման եղանակը: Մեկ գիշեր օրթոկերատոլոգիական ոսպնյակ կրելուց հետո Կ-ի տեսողության սրությունը դարձավ 100%:
Կ-ն կարող է վայելել օրվա ընթացքում առանց ակնոց կամ ոսպնյակ հստակ ու լիարժեք տեսողություն ունենալու հաճույքը:

K., one of our ortho-k lens patients is back for her eye check after wearing her new ortho-k lenses for 1 week. She enjoys wearing her ortho-k lenses to correct, improve and prevent myopia from progressing fast. What makes it a wonderful experience is that, she is not wearing eyeglasses or soft contact lenses during the day to have a clear vision. It just takes an overnight sleep with her orthokeratology contact lenses to achieve her best corrected visual acuity the morning after.
K's RX was -3.75 for both eyes. We were able to design a custom ortho-k mold to correct the full myopia and astigmatism and ensure her eyes would not progress! After 1 week of wear she is now able to see 20/20 without any glasses!

Սուրճը կարող է պաշտպանել տեսողությունը՝ կանխելով աչքի ցանցաթաղանթի քայքայումը. հետազոտություն

Գիտնականները պնդում են, որ օրական մեկ բաժակ սուրճը կարող է փրկել տեսողությունը: Սուրճի մեջ առկա քիմիական բաղադրությունը կանխում է տեսողության վատթարացումը և հնարավոր կուրացումը՝ գլաուկոմայի, ծերության կամ շաքարախտի հետևանքով առաջացող ցանցաթաղանթի քայքայման պատճառով:

Ինչպես ներկայացնում է Daily Mail-ը՝ տվյալ հայտնագործությունն արել են Նյու Յորքի Քորնուելի համալսարանի հետազոտողները՝ սուրճի հակաօքսիդանտ ազդեցությունն ուսումնասիրելիս:

Սուրճը պարունակում է 1 տոկոս կոֆեին, սակայն 7-9 տոկոս քլորոգեն թթու, որն ուժեղ հակաօքսիդանտ է: Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry ամսագրում հրապարակված հոդվածում նկարագրվում է, թե ինչպես է սուրճի մեջ պարունակվող թթուն կանխում աչքի ցանացաթաղանթի քայքայումը:

Orthokeratology

Orthokeratology is the use of specially designed contact lenses to eliminate low to medium levels of myopia. It is used in both adults and children as young as age 10. These lenses are used at night during sleep hours and they act by gently reshaping the cornea to eliminate the existing myopia. This means the patient has complete freedom from glasses or conventional contact lenses during the day. It also helps slow or stop the progression of myopia in children.

The ophthalmologist will first take a map of the patient's cornea using the corneal topographer.

This is painless and takes only seconds. With the results the doctor is able to customize a lens that fits exactly to the patient's eye and eliminates the myopia correctly. Once the patient receives the lenses they will be trained on appropriate use and care and will be followed very closely over the year to ensure success. Most levels of myopia can be eliminated within 1-6 weeks.

Several years ago, spurred on by a need to participate in and be part of Armenia's changing face, the face of their ancestral homeland, and to bring their knowledge and expertise in the field of eye care to Armenia's medical system, Dr. Nadia Injeyan and Mr. Mher Arakelian embarked upon the venture of opening Optomed Canada.

On July 9, 2005, Optomed Canada opened its doors with inaugural celebrations, attended by representation from the Ministry of Health, various embassies, Yerevan State University Medical Faculty, WHO (World Health Organization), AECP (Armenian Eye Care Project) GMEIPO (Garo Meghrigian Eye Institute For Preventive Ophthalmology), Eighth Eye Hospital, Malayan Eye Hospital, members of local ophthalmology and medical community and media.

Optomed Canada's Mandate is:

To create a Diagnostic Eye Center which strives to always make available to Yerevan doctors the most advanced in ophthalmic technology that they may in turn, provide the highest quality care to their patients.
To provide continuing education to physicians on technological advances in diagnosis and management of eye disease and analysis of results.
Cooperate with non-profit health organizations present in Armenia in the promotion of preventative eye-care awareness in the general public and in the development of eye clinics outside of Yerevan.
To this day, Mr. Mher Arakelian and Dr. Nadia Injeyan, continue to visit Armenia several times a year to support Optomed Canada, both in terms of continuing education, patient examination consultation, and in terms of business and economic support in the quest for fulfilling Optomed's Mandate.
