This week, Yerevan hosted the European Forum of Medical Associations - a powerful platform for solidarity and shared values across Europe’s medical community.
Among the key themes: the independence of the medical profession—a principle under growing pressure in many countries.

“Continuing Professional Development must remain under the control of the profession,” emphasized Ms. Leah Wapner, Secretary General of EFMA and the Israeli Medical Association.

Together with our colleagues, we reaffirm our shared commitment to physician autonomy, professional ethics, and the health of our societies. Physician independence is not a privilege—it is a prerequisite for ethical care, scientific integrity, and public trust.

Our Declaration on Physician Independence and Professional Freedom is a global call to protect doctors from political, commercial, and institutional interference.

Այսօր Երևանի սրտում պաշտոնապես մեկնարկեց Բժշկական ասոցիացիաների Եվրոպական ֆորումը՝ EFMA 2025-ը, որը միավորել է ավելի քան 20 երկրի բժշկական համայնքների առաջնորդներին:

Խորապես մտահոգիչ է Հանրապետական շտապօգնության ծառայության աշխատակիցների հանդեպ կատարված վերջին բռնության դեպքը, որի հետևանքով տուժել է շտապօգնության վարորդը: Դատապարտում եմ նման արարքները, որոնք ուղղված են մեր համաքաղաքացիների կյանքը փրկելու գործին նվիրված բուժաշխատողների դեմ:

Հայկական բժշկական ասոցիացիան խստորեն դատապարտում է բուժաշխատողների նկատմամբ ֆիզիկական հաշվեհարդարի, ուժի և սպառնալիքի ցանկացած ձև։ Բուժաշխատողները մեր հասարակության անվտանգության առանցքային երաշխավորներից են և պետք է գործեն հարգանքի և պաշտպանության մթնոլորտում:
Կոչ ենք անում ամբողջ բժշկական համայնքին, ինչպես նաև բոլոր քաղաքացիական կառույցներին և հասարակության անդամներին՝
🔹 միանալ այս դատապարտմանը,
🔹 աջակցել բուժաշխատողների պաշտպանվածության իրավական ամրապնդմանը,
🔹 և անել հնարավոր ամեն ինչ՝ կանխելու նման դեպքերի կրկնությունը:

Ակնկալում ենք, որ պետական մարմինները կշարունակեն աշխատել բժիշկների և բուժանձնակազմի իրավունքների պաշտպանության ուղղությամբ, այդ թվում՝ օրենսդրական հստակ և գործուն մեխանիզմների ներդրմամբ։
