The foot has a unique collection of tissue types that can be used to reconstruct the hand. In this paper, we describe numerous reconstructive options, some of which have been implemented, such as modifications to previously described procedures or even newly developed options for hand reconstruction. It is possible to reconstruct missing fingers and other hand structures using tissues from the foot rather than removing healthy tissue from an injured hand. We would like to thank Dr. Harvey Chim and Dr. Kevin Chung for inviting us to participate in this issue of Hand Clinics
