La flaccidez sucede al movimiento. Existen varios músculos alrededor de los párpados y en la frente. Las cejas son como un diafragma entre la zona ocular y la frontal y su posición depende de la tracción hacia arriba por el músculo y hacia abajo por los músculos perioculares. Con la aplicación de toxina botulinica, es posible modificar temporalmente la posición de la ceja. Con cirugía, es posible modificarla permanentemente.

Sagging occurs with movement. There are several muscles around the eyelids and forehead. The eyebrows act like a diaphragm between the eye area and the frontal region, and their position depends on the upward traction by the muscle and the downward pull by the periocular muscles. With the application of botulinum toxin, it is possible to temporarily alter the position of the eyebrows. With surgery, it can be permanently modified.

Si no se nota, es bueno. Hoy les presento este caso notable. Ella es odontóloga, trabaja con las manos, sabe de artesanía y de estética, es un honor para mí que me haya confiado su cara! 🙏🏻❤️
Lleva 5 meses de operada y sus cicatrices delante y detrás de las orejas están casi imperceptibles y seguirán mejorando con el tiempo.

Lograr un cambio muy sutil y natural me toma muchas horas.. de hecho cada vez más!
El nivel de detalle es tan alto que en todas y cada una de las cirugías aprendo algo nuevo, un punto, una maniobra, una anatomía que no había entendido hasta hacer el lifting número 1000.

Achieving a very subtle and natural change takes me many hours... in fact, it’s taking more and more! The level of detail is so high that in every surgery I learn something new—a suture, a maneuver, an anatomy that I hadn’t understood until I did my 1000th facelift.

Más allá de la técnica de lifting que se emplee, lo que realmente importa son las costuras. Las terminaciones, como siempre. Eso no se enseña en ningún lado. Se aprende haciendo. Prestando atención al detalle, operando despacio y siendo autocrítico. En otras palabras, disfrutando la cirugía. ❤️

Beyond the lifting technique used, what really matters are the seams. The finishing. That isn’t taught anywhere. It is learned by doing and paying attention to detail. Operating slowly is key while enjoying the surgery. ❤️

Vista Frontal

La mayoría de los cambios relacionados con el envejecimiento ocurren en el aspecto frontal de la cara. Esto se debe a la anatomía única del rostro humano. La anatomía evoluciona según la función, y la función principal de la cara en humanos es la interacción social. Por eso, después de millones de años de evolución, los músculos faciales han migrado desde los laterales hacia el frente. La expresión facial es posible gracias al movimiento facial, y este movimiento es el factor determinante que contribuye a la flaccidez facial.

Most of the aging changes occur in the frontal aspect of the face. This is due to the unique anatomy of the human face. Anatomy evolves based on function, and the primary function of the human face is social interaction. That’s why, after millions of years of evolution, facial muscles have migrated from the lateral to the frontal aspect. Facial expression is possible due to movement, and this movement is the main contributing factor to facial laxity.

La cirugía general debe ser rápida y efectiva.
La cirugía plástica, es otra cosa. La misma debe ser perfecta sin importar el tiempo que demore.
Un cirujano “apurado” se nota en el resultado.
Las cirugía bien hecha y de calidad superior, lleva más tiempo. Por eso, hacemos solo 3 cirugías por semana. Porque cada paciente lleva mucho tiempo y dedicación. Al menos en mis manos, no podría obtener los mismos resultados en menos tiempo.
Sería como.. vísteme despacio que estoy apurado 😃

General surgery must be quick and effective.
Plastic surgery, on the other hand, is different. It must be perfect regardless of how long it takes.
A “rushed” surgeon delivers rushed results.
Well-done surgery with superior quality takes more time. That’s why we only perform 3 surgeries per week. Each patient requires a lot of time and dedication. At least in my hands, I couldn’t achieve the same results in less time.
It would be like... dress me slowly because I’m in a hurry. 😃

Después de casi 2 meses sin operar y habiendo disfrutado muchísimo a mi familia durante las vacaciones, acá estamos. Terminamos de operar a está hermosa paciente Colombiana y como siempre, luego de lavarle la cabeza en quirófano, le hacemos una trenza y se va oliendo rico a una de las mejores suites de la clínica. Donde será cuidada y sobretodo mimada como a una reina. Así, tratamos a todos nuestros pacientes❤️. No conocemos otra manera.

After almost 2 months without operating and having greatly enjoyed my family during the holidays, here we are. We just finished operating on this beautiful Colombian patient and, as always, after washing her hair in the operating room, we make her a braid and she leaves smelling nice to one of the best suites in the clinic. There, she will be very well cared of and pampered like a queen. This is how we treat all our patients ❤️. We don’t know any other way.

Primer publicación científica de una serie de trabajos que vamos a publicar relacionados con el uso de fillers faciales y sus consecuencias en la salud. El conocimiento es poder. Los pacientes deben estar bien informados acerca de cómo se comportan estas sustancias una vez colocadas. Es necesario mas investigación al respecto de parte de quienes no tenemos relaciones comerciales con estos productos.

First scientific publication in a series of works we will publish related to the use of facial fillers and their consequences on health. Knowledge is power. Patients must be well-informed about how these substances behave once injected. More research is needed on this topic from those of us who do not have commercial ties to these products.

La dedicación exclusiva a un solo procedimiento marca una diferencia profesional muy importante. Permite llegar a un nivel superior de complejidad y refinamiento.
Hace ya muchos años que me dedico únicamente al lifting facial y es la mejor decisión que he tomado no solo para los pacientes, sino también para mi equipo y para mi.
