The autonomous device is being developed by Klaxon Mobility, Aer Tre, and Intercom Solutions S.r.l., aiming to enhance accessibility, efficiency, and inclusivity within airport environments.

On Tuesday, March 24, the results of the RAPIDO project were presented at the headquarters of Confartigianato Imprese Marca Trevigiana. RAPIDO is an experimental autonomous electric vehicle designed to enhance the airport experience. Developed within the INTERREG Italy–Austria program, the project is the result of a synergistic collaboration between industrial and technological partners - Klaxon, Intercom Solutions S.r.l., and AER TRE - together with local institutions and stakeholders.

Come migliorare l’accessibilità negli aeroporti con l’innovazione tecnologica?

Questo è solo uno dei temi che affronteremo durante l’evento di presentazione del progetto RAPIDO, martedì 24 marzo alle ore 11:00 presso la sede di Confartigianato Imprese Marca Trevigiana.

Presenteremo i risultati del progetto insieme ai partner e agli stakeholder coinvolti, con un momento di confronto sulle prospettive della mobilità aeroportuale.

Il progetto RAPIDO ha portato allo sviluppo di un veicolo elettrico a guida autonoma per assistere i passeggeri con mobilità ridotta, accompagnandoli tra le principali aree aeroportuali e favorendo maggiore autonomia negli spostamenti.

Il progetto, realizzato da AerTre in collaborazione con Klaxon Mobility e Intercom Solutions, è finanziato nell’ambito del Programma INTERREG VI-A Italia-Austria 2021/2027.

The activities of the European RAPIDO project continue, dedicated to the development of autonomous driving solutions to improve assistance for passengers with reduced mobility. In recent days, the mapping of the navigable area and airport routes was carried out using the final prototype of the wheelchair designed to serve users, with navigation tests in real environments. The project, carried out by AerTre in collaboration with Klaxon by Etac and Intercom Solutions, is funded under the INTERREG VI-A Italy–Austria 2021/2027 Programme.
