When overwhelmed by a busy day at the office, tight deadlines or too many "to do's" - it's time to sit and recharge. You do not need anything complicated or even wireless - you just need your breath. Follow your breathing line for one, two or five minutes, without any desire to change it. Just observe how it is going to cool down and relax by itself. Just "being and breathing" for a few moments it's medicine for your nervous system. And for your well-being, for your rest of the day, for your projects, family and friends. A five minute pause in stillness is not a lost time, it is a necessity of our modern time! Enjoy your day! ∞ 🤍 ∞

According to Petra Martin, who is responsible for leadership development at Bosch Automotive Electronics, “Mindfulness is an essential lever to shift from a culture of control to a culture of trust. Communication has fundamentally changed since we introduced our mindfulness training to more than 1,000 leaders in the organization.”

At software company SAP, mindfulness has become a key ingredient of corporate life for employees and executives alike. More than 6,000 employees have taken two-day mindfulness courses that focus on meditations complemented by the practice of self-mastery and compassion. In addition, internal mindfulness trainers offer guided meditations during working hours and a multi-week mindfulness challenge, including meditation “micropractices,” such as tuning out of a busy workday for a few minutes to focus on one’s breathing. “For many managers, it has become the new normal to open meetings with short meditations.”

For those familiar with Otto Scharmer Theory U and Presencing Institute - the intersection of science, profound social and organizational change and consciousness - this Four person knowing theory is a great input to deliberate thinking!!

(This deepening of our understanding and acting implies to move beyond the traditional modes of knowledge:

2nd person knowledge: intersubjective
3rd person knowledge: objective

4th person knowing: the knowing of the field (deepened collective self-knowing and awareness).
