STILLNESS TO THE CITY
The end of December has a particular rhythm.
Days shorten, no more space on calendars, and the pace intensifies — while something essential inside us asks for space.
A few years ago, I followed that inner feeling and began what many considered a slightly crazy endeavor: to bring stillness into the city. Right in the middle of it.
In the summer of 2015, citySTILLE opened its doors — a meditation and mindfulness space shaped by minimalist design, simplicity, and nature-inspired quiet, right in the middle of Vienna’s urban life.
The intention was never to escape the city, but to meet it differently.
Because stillness belongs exactly where life is loud.
During one particularly intense December, this idea entered a wider public conversation. I knew an article would appear in the December print issue of Die Presse. What I did not expect was the morning surprise: my photo and the headline „Wir suchen die Stille“ on the cover. Article, here: https://lnkd.in/d8nSd5Wn
It felt symbolic. Also personal but in the same time- collective.
A sign that stillness was no longer a niche topic, but a shared human need.
Over time, the name evolved.
citySTILLE became STILLNESS.
Not as a rebrand, but as a clarification: stillness is not a place you go to. It is a state of mind — available everywhere. In the city or in nature. At home, in a studio, or in the middle of a busy workday. Because stillness does not depend on external silence. It opens within. It creates s p a c e.
Creating space, inspiring change.
This becomes especially visible at year-end. We long for calm, yet rush through the very moments meant to ground us. Mindfulness - which is at the core of STILLNESS - is not about slowing life down artificially — it is about restoring our capacity to meet life with clarity, presence, and coherence.
As teams and organizations step into the new year, the most sustainable advantage is not speed, but direction. A grounded start supports focus, clarity, emotional regulation, and meaningful collaboration — before calendars take over again.
If you feel that the beginning of 2026 could benefit from a conscious pause — for your team, your leadership group, or your organization — stillness can be cultivated intentionally. I am looking forward to sitting with you in stillness. It’s a wide, vaste space.

Stillness does not slow progress.
It aligns it with everything you believe in.
Cheers into New Year!✨
