Friday reminder 💛
Do more of the things you love.
Not the things that earn approval.
Not the things that make you feel validated.
But the things that genuinely light you up from within.
This video (swipe to see it ➡️) is exactly that for me.
It’s my first time playing and chanting the Tibetan mantra Om Tare Tuttare Ture Soha on the harmonium. And no — it’s not perfect. I’m still learning, still practicing. But I love it.
I love learning new mantras. I love exploring their meanings. I love how they open something inside.
This mantra is dedicated to the goddess Tara. We don’t ask her to remove our suffering. We ask her to guide us — to help us release what binds us. To teach us how to let go of the patterns, fears, and attachments that keep us from freedom.
And that changes everything.
This reflection is part of this month’s Jivamukti focus of the month— and it feels so aligned with the reminder to do what you love. Because when you know what nourishes you, what connects you, what brings you alive, you can move through challenges differently. Loving something deeply doesn’t remove difficulty — but it gives you strength, grounding, and perspective.
And if you watch the video until the end, you’ll hear the gentle support of my dear husband in the background 💛
Sharing your life with people who love similar things — or who simply support you in doing what you love — is such a gift. When you’re surrounded by that kind of encouragement, you are very well equipped for this life.
So give yourself permission this weekend:
Learn something new.
Practice something imperfectly.
Spend time on something that may not be “productive” but makes your heart feel full.
If it brings you joy, it is worth it.
That is the practice. 🙏
