My first silk mohair top 💓 knitted using 2 strands of silk mohair by . Loved it, love wearing it but IMPOSSIBLE to frog if there’s a mistake 🫣 I had to use a needle to carefully untangle all the little halo threads that get stuck to each other immediately.
But, got there in the end.

My first ever silk mohair from 💓. I was almost sure I wouldn’t like it, as my childhood/teen experiences with ‘mohair’ were a yucky, plastic feeling weird, shimmery, furry thing that felt very strange against the skin.​​​​​​​​
After listening to ‘s podcast about mohair on , I thought of giving it a go.​​​​​​​​
(if you have any questions about mohair I recommend you watch it - it’s is super informative 👌🏼).​​​​​​​​
I found an elegant looking sweater pattern by Rowan (sorry I didn’t use rowan yarn 🫣 but I’d love to try that too next time ☝🏼) and used the knitting for olive soft silk mohair, colour-Putty.​​​​​​​​
I have to say I’m impressed and I LOVE the outcome. It feels naturally soft, with a halo effect and I feel like I can wear it to some fancier events and outings too (Picture coming soon). 🧶 ​​​​​​​​

So I bought a new blazer (fancy shmansy) to match my beige trousers and knitted top. I love that we've evolved our knits to shmansy-level so that they're not just that 'warm chunky granny jumper'. I LOVE granny jumpers, but somehow having a fine gauge hand made knit feels kind of refined 😌 ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​👚 Pattern:

After our near 'heat wave' here in Graz, we've had a few weeks of almost-winter cold 🥶. My honeycomb socks had to come back out the wardrobe once again. They have officially become my favourite sofa socks. I still have some Along Avec Anna Merino yarn left from my 'Hug me tight' top, which surprisingly worked well for socks! So I'm thinking of making another pair with one of these beautiful designs from the 250 Japanese Knitting Stitches book.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​👚 Pattern:
