Life has been a whirlwind of activity for me, always on the move, until pain took its grip. For the past five years, I've battled through each day in ago

ny, relying on morphine just to cope. Immobilized by excruciating pain in my lower back, left leg, and foot, I faced the daunting reality of two prolapsed discs, L4-S1, on both sides. One of them, L4/L5 on the left, required emergency surgery—twice in the span of 20 days back in June 2022—to relieve the intense pressure on the nerve root. Now, I find myself grappling with degenerative disc disease, a condition where the very cushions between my vertebrae, those crucial shock absorbers enabling movement, are wearing away. They say the spine is the pillar of life, and I can attest to its truth firsthand. While the surgeries brought some relief, the road to recovery has been long and arduous. Yet, even now, I am confronted with the harsh reality of my limitations—constant back and leg pain casting a shadow over my daily life. The recent MRI scans, taken 22 months post-surgery, paint a disheartening picture of even a worse condition, L4/L5 disc that was two times operated, is now herniated and on the downward slope toward nerve roots, size 23 x 18 x 10 mm (MR scan picture below). I named it Godzilla. But what truly weighs heavy on my heart is the inability to lift my grandson without fear, to play freely without consequence. He's just 27 months old, and I long to embrace those precious moments without hesitation. I yearn to run alongside him, bend down effortlessly, and revel in the simple joys without the constant worry. That's where you come in. Artificial Disc Replacemenr (ADR) surgery holds the promise of a new beginning, a chance to reclaim the life I once knew—a life free from pain, free from dependency on pills, a life filled with boundless motion and joy. Exciting news! 🥳
I had the 2nd post-op follow up with my surgeon Pr. Tropiano.
Everything look very good (my X-ray pics in last post).
Next check up is in a YEAR! Wohoo 😱 ...

An explosion of emotions is in my head. One part from relief that now everything is finally OK, after 5.5 years. Another part from disbelief that now everything is really and finally ok 😅🥳

Danas je 8. post-operativni dan nakon teske i komplicirane operacije kicme, za koju sam vas trazila pomoc u obliku pozitivnih misli, shareanja moje GFM price i donacije, na cemu vam veliko hvala ❤️🤗

Dobro se oporavljam i krecem u novo zivotno razdoblje, bez boli i suza, u bolje sutra 🌸 Slijedecih nekoliko mjeseci ce biti drndavo, ali ono najgore je iza mene 👌🏼✨️

Pr. Tropiano, kirurg koji me je operirao, ima zlatne ruke i veliki dar, te mogu reci kako je vrlo prizeman i skroman, sto ga cini velikim covjekom ❤️

Today is the 8th post-operative day after a difficult and complicated spine operation, for which I asked for your help in the form of positive thoughts, sharing my GFM story and donation, for which I thank you very much ❤️🤗

I am recovering well and moving into a new life period, without pain and tears, to a better tomorrow 🌸
The next few months will be rough, but the worst is behind me 👌🏼✨️

Pr. Tropiano, the surgeon who operated on me, has golden hands and a great gift, and I can say that he is very down-to-earth and humble, which makes him a great man ❤️

First of all, thank you once again for your incredible support and donations! Every day, we are getting closer to our goal ❤

I’m thrilled to share that I have secured a surgery appointment with the wonderful Professor Tropiano in Marseille, France, scheduled for June. The surgery is now just over a month away, and I’m overjoyed to tell you that the costs are lower than expected. The estimated hospital costs are attached of EUR 11.500, and Professor Tropiano’s fee for the operation is EUR 16.000, in total is EUR 27.500.

As soon as I receive the private invoice from Pr. Tropiano, I will share it here.

Family and friends have contributed as much as they can, therefore I decreased the amount needed, based on the new estimates that I've received. Your kindness and generosity, even though many of you are strangers to me, have given me immense hope and faith. I truly believe that together, we can reach the goal of EUR 20,000 in this short time.

Ich freue mich sehr, euch mitteilen zu können, dass ich einen Operationstermin bei dem wunderbaren Professor Tropiano in Marseille, Frankreich, im Juni bekommen habe. Die Operation ist nun in etwas mehr als einem Monat, und ich bin überglücklich, euch mitzuteilen, dass die Kosten niedriger sind als erwartet. Die geschätzten Krankenhauskosten sind beigefügt 11.500 EUR, und die Kosten für Professor Tropiano für die Operation betragen 16.000 EUR, alle insgesamt 27.500 EUR.

Sobald ich die Rechnung von Prof. Tropiano erhalte, werde ich sie hier anhängen.

Familie und Freunde haben so viel gespendet, wie sie konnten, deshalb habe ich den benötigten Betrag auf Grundlage der neuen Schätzungen, die ich erhalten habe, reduziert. Eure Freundlichkeit und Großzügigkeit, obwohl viele von euch mir fremd sind, haben mir immense Hoffnung und Glauben gegeben. Sretna sam što mogu podijeliti s vama da sam dobila termin za operaciju kod divnog profesora Tropiana u Marseilleu, Francuska, u lipnju. Operacija je sada za nešto više od mjesec dana, i presretna sam što vam mogu reći da su troškovi niži od očekivanih. Procijenjeni troškovi bolnice su priloženi u iznosu od 11.500 EUR, a troškovi profesora Tropiana za samu operaciju iznose 16.000 EUR, iznos total je 27.500 EUR.
