Consistency is hard.

It’s not easy to do something every day. In order to learn a language you have to be consistent. Duolingo has done an incredibly good job at making learning fun, at gamifying it. And while it is not the most effective at learning the language it is REALLY effective at making you come back. At keeping you engaged. That is what it does best. I have had struggles staying consistent in the past but I am also ambitious.

I like winning.

I like seeing progress. Ticking off tasks and being praised for good work. Getting points and advancing to the “next level” - sooo motivating. That’s why I thrived at school and university. That’s why I LOVE learning!

Duolingo gives you that. It has kept me engaged and motivated.

Now, but how does that make me healthier? The answer: HABIT STACKING

Habit stacking is the practice of simply adding on behaviors that you want to cultivate to behaviors you are already doing.

So let's say you are already having a relaxed coffee every morning. And you want to start journaling, if you use habit stacking you could start with having a few sips of your coffee and then write one sentence in a journal. So now whenever you have you your coffee in the morning it will trigger the reminder: Morning coffee = write one sentence in journal!

And you can do that with everything, the important part is that in the beginning your habit stacks should be short and sweet, easy to complete. Psst: if you want to learn more about habit stacking I can highly recommend the book “Atomic Habits” by James Clear.

But now, let’s get more specific: HOW is Duolingo keeping me healthy?

👉 I have gone through the process outlined in the graphics for consistency:

1: Values Alignment
2: Activities Brainstorm
3: Tech Stack Support
4: Openness to FLOW

That is how Duolingo is keeping me healthy. Because health is so much more than nutrition and movement, it is rooted in living a life that is in line with your values and your JOY!

✨What is one of your biggest values in life and how are you living that in life?

Trying to calm your mind is like screaming at your friend to ‘just be happy’. In order to be healthy in meditation you can allow your mind to explore. See what is happening and give your mind time to do its housekeeping running through all the things that it doesn’t have time at the rest of the day.

You are always gonna miss something!

We are designed to strive for more. More adventures, more experiences, more money, more status… but sometimes it’s good to also look back and appreciate.

Today I miss Austria. The calm collectedness of the mountains and lakes. The constant moments of ‘awe’ driving anywhere in this country. It’s inspiring and we definitely will be back. For both and me Austria has felt like home.

We tend to make big life plans and then completely rethink them again and again - while some may think that is silly, it keeps our minds agile and open to the possibilities out there.

Back to the beauty of Austria: while we can’t be there right now I can still visit these stunning landscapes… through VR - I’m so grateful to have the option to do so!

Shoot me a DM if you are interested in trying out our VR relax & workbreak 😇

Jep, nothing to add! Get comfy to meditate - like reeeeeal comfy. Sit on that sofa, lie in that bed, stretch and find ease like a cat. Animals are the best meditators btw 😎

ENJOY! This is your time.

Ever heard a meditation guide say the words “let’s take time to transition…” - now swipe to learn why it is important not to immediately jump up and into your day after meditation!

Meditative states are an inbuilt skill of your body - it’s the polar opposite of our bodies stress response and it is there to help you rest & reset!
When we meditate our oxygen level drops, breathing slows down and your body has time and space to ‚digest‘ the experiences of the day or night. It is natural and instinctive to do that!

Meditation can look like watching the sunrise/sunset, it can look like paining, taking photographs, running, planting, having a tea or coffee and so much more!

What does your meditation look like?

Want to establish a meditation practice that you LOVE? Shoot me a dm and we can set up a free call to see if instinctive meditation coaching is for you ❤️🙏

As a meditation coach I often hear the phrase “I can’t meditate, I simply have too many thoughts!” This comes from a misunderstanding that meditation is a state with a “lack of thoughts” which is incorrect! In meditation there are phases in which you thoughts might slow down for a few seconds or a few minutes - however this is just one phase! We can move through the different phases of meditation in a matter of seconds and minutes. And during the phase of “reviewing” for example, we have a lot of thoughts maybe even very fast ones that replay the days/weeks events. That’s healthy! It helps our body and mind to integrate.

TIP: Become aware of your rhythm in meditation - don’t fight it - when your thoughts are fast paced run with them - keep up and see what happens :)

Most importantly to stay healthy in meditation - enjoy and don’t put any rules on yourself that simply don’t work for you!

If you are interested in meditation coaching to help you establish a healthy life long meditation practice shoot me a DM and we can set up a free call to find out if this is for you ❤️

Ever tried to ‚focus your mind‘ or been told to ‚control your thoughts & emotions‘ in meditation? Yeah? Me too! But there is more fun and easeful approach to meditation… let me tell you 👇

When you allow your mind to expand and explore in meditation and take the pressure away you are opening yourself up to an experience that is rich and resourceful. An experience that gets you excited about life and at the same time helps you find calm and ironically enough - focus.

Are you intrigued? I am now offering 1-on-1 instinctive meditation coaching to help you access this way of meditating. Simply shoot me a message and we can book in a free 10 min consultation to see if this is for you 😊❤️

That’s all! 😊

„Let your eyes go soft!“
Have you ever heard that in a guided meditation? Yes? Been confused? Well let me shed some -light- on it.

Letting your eyes go soft can mean you become aware of the full spectrum of your vision -panoramic vision- you allow the blurry parts on the edges of your visual field to be noticed.

Naturally you might stop focusing on one point. Your eyelids might relax and your eyes find ease.

You can play with that. Start appreciating light and shadow, different forms and structures you see, colors. So many things to explore with your sense of sight. And that, my friends, is a meditation it itself ❤️🙏

Most importantly: ENJOY!!!
