From the Biosynthesis perspective, su***de prevention and care, which is an attempt to put an end to unsustainable psychological suffering, implies offering spaces for listening and containment, genuinely accompanying individual needs, giving voice and free expression to the suffering being, and admitting that shared despair dissolves hopelessness. Psychotherapists are necessary agents to confront and enable a different response to these situations in a world where the su***de rate is increasing at an alarming rate in all age groups.
Depression and other mental disorders often represent not only psychological pain, but also a blockage in the movement of life, in breathing, in expression, and in human connection.
The therapeutic work of Biosynthesis seeks to restore this connection, embracing the human being in their wholeness: body, mind and spirit. This process supports the rebuilding of inner bonds, the awakening of vital energy, and the opening of new pathways toward meaning and hope.
On World Su***de Prevention Day, we are reminded that speaking about suffering, offering presence, and practicing genuine listening can save lives.
