The first cTIF-series at the AKH University Hospital of Vienna

📣 Congratulations to the surgical team at the Medical University of Vienna, led by Univ. Prof. Dr. S.F. Schoppmann and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Reza Asari for successfully conducting the first two Concomitant Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication (cTIF) procedures, under the expert guidance of Prof. Dr. Aleksandar Simic and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ognjan Skrobic from the University Hospital of Belgrade.
Their innovative approach to treating GERD alongside with many other endoluminal interventional endoscopy procedures is inspiring.
🎉 Special recognition goes to their outstanding nursing team for achieving this significant milestone.

Anti-Reflux Surgery Course

We are happy to announce the third edition of our Anti-reflux surgery course. We propose a course dedicated to both general surgery residents and specialist surgeons, with an interest in upper gastrointestinal surgery, focused on the management, practical issues, and technical aspects of anti-reflux surgery and hiatal hernia repair. The course will include theoretical presentations and discussions, live surgeries, and a hands-on workshop.
