Since its foundation in 1991 AALZ has been the leading worldwide specialist in dental laser education in "Lasers in Dentistry"

Lifelong learning is not just an essential integral part of today´s modern, future-oriented dental surgery; in addition, it will play a decisive part in the future if dentists wish to keep pace with scientific and technological innovations and efficiently maintain a healthy surgery structure. In cooperation with the Clinic for Dental Conservation, Periodontology and Preventive Dentistry at the University of Excellence RWTH Aachen, the Aachen Center for Laser Dentistry (AALZ) has created the first dental laser education institute in Germany. Known for its research in laser-assisted dentistry, it cooperates nationally and internationally with major research facilities. The implementation of laser technology in dentistry confronts dentists with treatment possibilities whose scientific background, biophysical interactions and extensive theoretical and practical foundations are not standard subjects of academic studies in dentistry. Only with solid training this scientifically highly sound and innovative treatment method can be used in a therapeutically correct and successful way. Since its foundation in 1991, the AALZ has been the leading worldwide specialist in dental laser education. We offer you recognized and accredited training and help you to meet your goal of becoming a laser specialist. We offer you various continuing education courses:

The European Mastership Exams Module in SFU Vienna brought together an exceptional group of dental professionals from around the world, marking another significant achievement in the field of Laser Dentistry.

Participants from our Mastership in Vienna, Peru, Egypt, and Romania came together for this milestone event, demonstrating the global scope and academic excellence of our programs.

The written exams assessed the theoretical depth of laser dentistry, while the oral exams allowed candidates to demonstrate their clinical insights, practical skills, and ability to address real-world scenarios. This dual approach to assessment emphasizes the rigorous academic and clinical standards upheld by our Mastership program.

We are immensely proud of the hard work and dedication of our candidates, as they continue to raise the bar in advancing dental care worldwide.

The first week of the Master of Science in Lasers in Dentistry is more than an introduction. It is an immersion into advanced clinical thinking, scientific exchange, and international collaboration.

In this first part of our student testimonials, participants from different countries share their initial experience during the opening days of the program in Vienna this September. AALZ continues its tradition of excellence with another successful academic session in Vienna, part of the world’s longest consecutively running MSc Program in Laser Dentistry (active since 2004).
