How do we take the latest physical preparation research and apply it safely and effectively to the next generation of athletes? 🏋
That is one of the central questions behind the NSCA Youth Development Con, and it is exactly why Intelligent Motion is pleased to be supporting the event.
Long-Term Athlete Development is not about copying elite adult training and scaling it down. It requires better decision-making around load, movement quality, progression, strength development and athlete readiness.
At Intelligent Motion, this is where we believe technology has an important role to play.
We will be at the event showcasing the Dynamic Load System, and discussing how controlled, adaptive loading can support coaches, sport scientists and practitioners working with both youth and elite athletes.
The DLS allows coaches to explore advanced strength applications such as eccentric loading, assisted and resisted movement, drop sets, functional isometrics and load manipulation with a level of control that is difficult to achieve with traditional free-weight methods alone.
For youth athletes, that opens up an important conversation around safety, progression and education.
For elite athletes, it creates opportunities for more precise strength development, testing, return-to-play and performance applications.
The event brings together coaches, sport scientists and performance leaders from across the industry, with speakers from organisations including Cardiff Metropolitan University, Setanta College, TSG Hoffenheim Academy and others.
We are looking forward to being part of the conversation and showing how evidence-based practice can be supported by better tools in the training environment.
