Glad to share with you my new article

“Gender-based violence against women: psychotherapeutic input on how to recognise violence and how to support women”
at the EU Neighbours platform EU neighbours east

▶️ However, how did the COVID-19 pandemic influence the violence against women and girls?

The economic and social complications caused by the COVID-19 crisis, together with the restriction of contact and movement, have made a significant impact on women´s lives. UN Women calls it the “shadow pandemic”.

The research of European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE) emphasises the importance of awareness raising campaigns. We empower women in the psychotherapeutic practice on to recognise violence, to reflect on own emotions and needs. The significant role play also hotlines and services that help anonymously.

I think that exchanging experience is one of most important tasks in our society.

Summing up my professional engagement of the year, I realized how much was done and was impressed to see these numbers!
