Watch Psychosomatic Conversations - The Body as a Guide, Not an Obstacle (Part 2 of 3)
This month’s Psychosomatic Conversations session focused on “The Body as a Guide, Not an Obstacle,” the second part of a three-part series exploring the connection between physical symptoms, emotional patterns, and self-awareness.
In this recorded session, Linda Thackray, Christy Foster, and Sean Jago share personal experiences of times they ignored or pushed past what their bodies were trying to communicate.
The discussion explores how symptoms such as insomnia, neck pain, anxiety, and exhaustion can act as important body signals rather than problems to simply suppress or push away. The conversation highlights the importance of awareness, slowing down, and developing a different relationship with physical symptoms and stress responses.
The session concludes with a guided reflection exercise led by Christy.
