The Schools as Community Centres support families with young children birth to eight years with a particular focus on the years prior to school entry. Each Schools as Community Centre project responds to the needs of local families with children by providing a range of activities such as supported playgroups, transition to school, early literacy programs, health and nutrition initiatives and paren

ting programs. Koe-nara is based in the grounds of Cessnock Public School on the corner of Rawson & Quarrybylong Sts, Aberdare.
