To secure your spot for a bone density scan, you must obtain a referral from your GP. Referrals can be accessed through an appointment with your GP.

The National Lung Cancer Screening Program aims to achieve better health outcomes for Australians by detecting lung cancer early and saving lives. Early detection can lead to more effective treatment options and improved outcomes for patients.

The program screens for lung cancer in high-risk individuals using low-dose computed tomography (low-dose CT) scans. People are eligible for the program if they are aged between 50 and 70 years and:

*Show no signs or symptoms suggesting you may have lung cancer (that is, you are asymptomatic)
*Currently smoke or have quit smoking in the past 10 years
*Have a history of to***co cigarette smoking of at least 30 pack-years.

From July 1st 2025, The Australian Government has introduced changes to the way it delivers Medicare services, particularly Chronic Disease Management and Telehealth appointments.

MyMedicare supports a more coordinated care between your GP and you.

The changes are supporting longer Telehealth appointments, Medicare funded chronic disease care plans and reviews which is coordinated with our practice nurse and your GP aimed at assisting and supporting you.

To access these services, patients will need to register with MyMedicare by logging into your MyGov account and selecting to register with Medicare. Paper copies of these registration forms are also available at reception. To find out more, please visit reception on your next visit.
