This Christmas season, we’re collecting donations to help bring joy and relief to the Newcastle Ronald McDonald House families. A small way we can give back to our community this Christmas. We know this time of year can be financially heavy, so please only give if it feels right for you. Every thought counts. Whether that’s a donation, a share, or simply keeping these families in your thoughts. No pressure, just love and some extra Chrissy spirit🎄🎁

Our team will be dropping any donations to the team at Ronald McDonald House closer to the 15th December.

We celebrated our incredible OTs last week. What better way to celebrate then to put one on the spot for some OT themed charades 😅

In light of OT week last week, we also want to highlight the amazing work all occupational therapists do across the board. While therapists are currently working in a climate that can feel extra heavy with government changes, funding cuts and never ending waitlists. They still show up, do their best and are some of the most resilient and adaptive people we know.

Jack’s journey from Therapy Assistant to Occupational Therapist to now, our new Business Development Manager is a testament to what happens when passion meets opportunity.

He’s bringing his knack of participant and family support into a leadership role that’s all about shaping what’s next for HCT. We couldn’t be more excited to see where he takes it and what we can learn from Jack.

Our second site - HCT Gym is a space that is non-clinical, non-threatening, and full of movement and fun. HCT Gym is all about helping our bodies move, explore, and grow in a way that feels natural and exciting — never scary or sterile.

Here, therapy happens through play, laughter, and confidence-building activities in a space that feels more comfortable than a “clinic”. We want every child to feel safe, and excited to come back.

Because when therapy feels good, real growth happens.
