Our second site - HCT Gym is a space that is non-clinical, non-threatening, and full of movement and fun. HCT Gym is all about helping our bodies move, explore, and grow in a way that feels natural and exciting — never scary or sterile.

Here, therapy happens through play, laughter, and confidence-building activities in a space that feels more comfortable than a “clinic”. We want every child to feel safe, and excited to come back.

Because when therapy feels good, real growth happens.

6 Months Wrapped! 👏🏼

From riding waves in Surf Therapy to charging the field with Sense Rugby, the last 6 months have been a wild ride. We rolled up our sleeves (literally) for blood donations, glammed up for awards nights, and cheered on Greg as he jumped into his big promotion. We had our first-ever Sense Rugby NRL game night and continued to proved therapy and groups can be fun but also form lasting friendships and build confidence.
Thanks to our incredible team for the last 6 months and here’s to the next 6 🙌🏼

Speech Session Real talk: We’re not magicians... but you kinda are! 🧙‍♂️✨

Our speechies get to hang out with your child for say 45 minutes a week (maybe every two weeks) — and while that time is super valuable, the real progress happens when YOU — the amazing parents, carers, and educators — keep the learning going outside the session.

That’s why we’re always chatting about strategies, modelling techniques, and sharing tips — not just to fill time, but to build your superpowers.

Because when you know what to do between sessions...
That’s when the magic happens.
That’s when the breakthroughs happen.
That’s when your child starts to shine even brighter.

So yes, We’ll keep showing up with our bag of tricks, but the real MVPs? That’s you.💛

As you might have heard, the NDIS has tossed some surprise changes our way, and we've been hustling behind the scenes to keep you in the loop.

We sent an email to all participant families on Friday, updating everyone on how these changes impact your services.

Our Sense Rugby crew had an unforgettable night hitting the stands at the recent Newcastle Knights NRL game! 🏉This night was more than just a fun time at the footy — it’s a great example of how an inclusive program can create opportunities, friendship and build community.
Sense Rugby is an innovative program run by occupational therapists, the program uses rugby-based activities to support children and young people in developing their physical, social, and emotional skills.
By sharing experiences like this, our guys not only build friendships and confidence but also strengthen their sense of belonging within the wider community.

A HUGE thank you to one of our amazing parents and the for making this night possible and create memories and connection through sport! This night will not be forgotten and we really look forward to more nights like this!

Our occupational therapists run sessions in a variety of locations - our office, gym, schools, homes, daycare, shopping centres, cafés, parks. You name it, they’re been there.
Their ability to adapt to different environments enables them to provide support tailored to each participant’s daily activities, effectively assessing real-world challenges to ensure that the assistance offered is both relevant and functional.
This approach not only fosters skill development within settings but also empowers children to engage meaningfully in their everyday lives.

For instance, one of our incredible OTs recently adapted their environment by conducting a session at our neighbours site .newcastle during the school holiday period.

🌧️ Weather Update – Telehealth & Appointment Changes 🌧️

Due to the current weather warnings in place — including flash flooding, heavy rainfall, and strong winds — we will be offering telehealth options for appointments where appropriate to ensure the safety of our clients and team. We will make accomodations for any families experiencing difficulites with travelling to the office as best we can and please contact us asap to discuss options.

Please note: Community appointments may be rescheduled depending on local weather conditions and road closures. We understand this may cause disruption, and we sincerely apologise for any inconvenience.
