Protein gets all the hype… but fibre is the quiet overachiever your body really relies on 🌱

We’re told to “eat more protein” for energy, metabolism, and muscle — and yes, protein matters. But without enough fibre, many of those benefits fall flat. Fibre is what keeps your digestion moving, your blood sugar steady, your hormones supported, and your gut microbes thriving.

Here’s the magic most people don’t hear about: short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs).
When you eat fibre, it feeds your gut bacteria, which then produce SCFAs like butyrate, acetate, and propionate. These compounds:
