The future of aeromedical care just touched down! 🛬

🇨🇭 All the way from Switzerland – our first ever Pilatus PC-12 'PRO' landed in Australia this week.

The first aeromedical-fit version of the next-gen PC-12 PRO in the world, the aircraft features step-change advancements in operational performance, aviation safety and environmental credentials.

It was ferried in a cross-continental journey from Switzerland to Australia by RFDS Pilot, Michael Jarman.

The aircraft was welcomed upon arrival this week at the RFDS Alice Springs and Adelaide Bases. Thanks to the Airservices Australia Aviation Rescue Fire Fighting Services (ARFFS) team for the warm welcome. 💦

The RFDS in SA/NT has committed $60 million to the purchase of five of these new ‘flying intensive care units’ as part of its largest aircraft upgrade program in over a decade.

With wild weather leaving Oodnadatta in Far North SA isolated, our RFDS Team was able to deliver 100kg of food and supplies to lend a hand. 🥦🍞

‘Health care’ is more than just health. It’s about backing remote communities however we can, especially when things get tough. 💙
