About the Traineeship
After 12 months, you'll be a fully qualified Dental Assistant with a Cert III qualification. You’ll learn on the job across multiple clinics, gaining hands-on experience providing chair-side dental assistance to dental practitioners, learning infection control protocols, equipment prep and sterilisation processes - just to name a few.

What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking friendly, fast-paced individuals who thrive under pressure and love working with people. You must be available for late nights (until 7pm) and Saturdays and ready to bring energy, drive and exceptional customer service to every shift.

A fissure seal is a protective coating that a dentist or oral health therapist applies to deep grooves on the chewing surfaces of teeth. It's a thin, tooth-coloured resin coating that hardens to create a smooth surface that's easier to clean.

Usually, a fissure seal is placed on children’s permanent molars, but it can also benefit teens and adults if needed.

Why it’s important:

Prevents tooth decay – The grooves in molars are the most common spots for cavities because food and bacteria easily get trapped there. Sealing them blocks plaque and acids from causing decay.

Reduces need for fillings – Protecting teeth early means fewer chances of cavities, fillings, and dental problems later.

Painless and quick – Applying a fissure seal is non-invasive, doesn’t require drilling, and only takes a few minutes per tooth.

Cost-effective – It’s much cheaper to prevent decay with a sealant than to treat cavities with fillings or other dental work.

Long-lasting protection – With good care, fissure seals can last several years, offering ongoing protection.

👉 In short: Fissure seals are like a raincoat for your teeth—shielding them from bacteria and decay in the most cavity-prone areas.
