Endometriosis affects at least 1 in 9 females and those assigned female at birth in Australia.

Endometriosis is a painful chronic condition that can be hard to diagnose.

Endometriosis occurs when tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside of the uterus. It most commonly occurs in the pelvis and can affect reproductive organs.

While it can be painful and debilitating, there are effective treatments that may relieve symptoms.
If you are experiencing symptoms, speak to your doctor.

With more scorching temperatures forecast this week, it’s important to stay cool and protect yourself from the heat.

High heat can lead to dehydration and heat-related illnesses. To stay safe, make sure to:

✔️ Drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty.

✔️ Avoid outdoor activities during the hottest parts of the day (11am - 3pm) and opt for light, breathable clothing.
✔️ Stay indoors in air-conditioned spaces or find a shaded spot to rest.

Don’t forget to check on vulnerable loved ones, including older people and young children.
