Take a stroll through our Memorial Gardens this weekend and view our new water feature in the Medika Memorial Garden.

As part of our ongoing commitment to responding to community needs, this upgraded area has been thoughtfully designed. Creating a calm and reflective space, enhancing the natural beauty of the gardens and providing a peaceful sanctuary for visitors.

The water feature is also proving popular with local bees, who can often be seen stopping to drink, adding to the sense of life and connection with nature.

Get ready for some turtley awesome facts about our Chelodina or Australian Eastern Long‑necked turtles!

If you’re lucky, you might catch one of them sun baking on the banks of Springbank Island during the warmer parts of the day.

These Aussie freshwater turtles are known for their super long necks, which can reach up to 60 percent of their shell length.

They have webbed feet and live in slow‑moving water, which is why they love our Sprinkbank Memorial area. Some can survive up to 30 to 50 years.

We'd love to hear your name suggestions for our beloved turtles?
