Prime Minister Scott Morrison will announce two bonus payments totalling up to $800 for aged care staff, amid a push for workers in the sector to get a 25 per cent pay rise.

Take a moment to thank and appreciate your fellow staff your friends and family who are currently doing above and beyond for our loved ones in our aged care sector. The numbers we are looking at in aged care homes is 1107, they are saying the sector ran out of workforce staff a week before. We never ran out! We never had proper staffing to begin with. Now we have valued staff quiting and been burnt out. Residents are been neglected like never before. Staff are doing over 12 hour days, we have no PPE action needs to happen!

I call bu****it Mr Marshall!!! lets talk 2024 when a nurse will have to be on 24/7!! See by the time you implament ratios it will be pointless.
lets talk ratios, lets talk elder abuse, lets talk triaging residents, lets talk healthcare!

It's time to be loud its time for change. 👊 Across Australia there are over 5000 reports, and we now people are still not reporting.

Right now What's your facility have in place for a mass outbreak of Covid? How many people today will walk out of work feeling guilty and run down. Keep voicing your concerns not only for your residents but for you and your health.

I would like time to Thank all the Health Care Workers this Christmas it has been so hard and not only for you guys but the residents. Some residents in NSW where confined to there rooms, residents with out a visit or any kind of celebration, lack of appreciation to all. And the care that we provide is now going un noticed and we again as carers are getting the brunt? Why us we work for multi million dollar companies!!! Why not ask them!! I still work in aged care and I will remain do so but I will not remain quiet! This is why I creating my business this is what we will crush. We will demand change and voice and challenge the royal commission we are in 2021 heading into 2022 watch for the name.

The Royal Commission’s recommendation for nurse ratios to be introduced by 1 July 2024. Is a disgrace. Can people not put two and two together? How are we letting this staffing issue be swept under a blanket its not carers this is just to have a Nurse on at all times! Our home will always have a Nurse and carer 24/7 with rotating on call doctors. Time to start asking your loved ones in care what care they get.

Now this is a step in the right direction!
But let's ask a few more questions to Mr Marshall, will there be ratios? Will there be Dignity Dining will they have direct care plans for each part of the day to deliver that high end of life care!

Another day of older Australians not having access to quality care in aged care, which should be a basic human right when ageing, our families are getting meant to be getting 4.3 hours of care a day and they are only getting about half this!! 4.3 hours is a disgrace! Where is this quality care!
We will blow those hours out of the water. Families will have the highest of quality care. They will have the dignity and respect they so deserve and we will have thier lives reflected and respected. Let's do this people lets get around the change in aged care.
