Community Connector - Christie Downs - 6hrs/week: A community connector role is about getting out of the house and into my community, doing the things I love. I’m an avid sportsman and used to play for the Port Noarlunga Cockle Divers. A great day out is catching a cricket or footy game and having a couple of zero-beers.

I’m non-verbal and use a power wheelchair to get around. A welcome candidate to join my team would be a great communicator (I don’t talk, but I communicate how I’m feeling and what I want through body language and simple signals), enjoys sports, and can think creatively to help me live a rich life in my community.

Support Worker - Goodwood - 8-12 hrs/week: I am a woman in my 70s with a wicked sense of humour, and I am excited to be expanding my support worker team. I’ve been living with high support needs in my home in Goodwood for 25 years and am building a team of thoughtful people who can assist me 7 days a week to live a good life, doing the things I love.

This role is ideal for someone who is a good listener and communicator (it doesn’t hurt to be a bit cheeky either). There is also a lot to understand about my physical support needs, of which I am the expert, so being attentive to detail and comfortable taking directions and asking for clarification when needed is essential.

Support Person, and Community Connector in Burton – 5 hours every Saturday

I am a young man living with my family in Burton, eager to build connections and engage in meaningful roles in my local community. I enjoy bowling, music, hiking, hosting parties, and cooking BBQs at gatherings. I am passionate about helping others, contributing to my community and caring for the environment through recycling. One day, I hope to have a place of my own to call home.

I am looking for someone to support me every Saturday, and help me become familiar with my local community. This role isn’t entirely defined, so I need a helping hand to explore and establish a routine.

I can be spontaneous but I do best when I have consistent, predictable and trusted support, who does not judge or make assumptions. You’ll hold space when things get messy, stay consistent when things get wobbly, and gently — but firmly — use everyday moments to teach, guide, and support everyday decision-making. It’s about being real, reliable, and respectful.

This role would suit someone who believes they can:

Make a positive and patient contribution to someone’s life
Appreciate the authority of family
Thoughtfully address challenges
Plan with someone to facilitate positive decision-making
Communicate with confidence and consistency
Teach and guide others toward informed and healthy choices
Provide long-term, familiar support that fosters trust and stability
I am seeking someone to support me for 5 hours on Saturdays 11:00am – 4:00pm, and, potentially a weekday evening once we get to know each other.

The role commences at level 2.1 casual rate of $43.23 per hour, Saturday loading apply (i.e., $60.52 per hour).

All applicants must have or be willing to obtain:

Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
A current NDIS Worker Check
First Aid Certificate
