Swimming can be a fantastic option for anyone looking to maintain joint health or manage conditions like arthritis. It takes the pressure off the joints allowing you to move more freely and the movement in water adds some mild resistance to your body meaning you will gently build muscle strength at the same time as working on cardiovascular fitness. All without any impact to your joints! And it is fantastic in the rehabilitation phase after joint replacement too!

The first MRI image revealed an enlarged tubercle with an ossicle, a sign of Osgood-Schlatter disease, which was painful and required surgical removal.
