πŸ“’ New Publication Alert!

πŸ—žοΈOur research shows that less availability of informal carers (often a partner or child) means that older individuals will need more formal care from the aged-care sector.
This highlights the growing pressure on formal aged care systems and the need to strengthen support for informal carers to enable safe and successful ageing in place.

EXCITING NEWS πŸ†

We’re proud to announce that the MRFF-funded Primary Care project led by the Registry of Senior Australian (ROSA) Research Centre at SAHMRI and Flinders University with our partners University of The University of Adelaide, University of South Australia, SA Dental, ECH Inc, and Silverchain Group received the 2025 Future of Ageing 'Research Category' award.

The winners were announced at a ceremony in Sydney last night, with our Director Professor Maria Inacio, attending to represent the research team and collaborators. Congratulations to all involved!

This recognition is based on an incredible body of work produced over five years. We leveraged the ROSA data platform and a Policy Collaborative (21 members) to examine the access, variation, outcomes and cost effectiveness of primary care services for individuals accessing aged care services, both at home and in residential aged care facilities.

Thank you Inside Ageing and the judging panel for acknowledging the national impact and scientific rigour of this work πŸŽ‰
