📍keep those skipping arms going throughout the skipping moves
📍Switch up the sequence, feel the burn in calves, quads and hamstrings 🔥

Welcome to Week 14 Aqua Move of the week 💪🏻🎉 💦

Week 14 is Choreography 👯‍♀️

Today has put together a little arm Choreography sequence.

💙 commence with an 8 count on each movement and then slowly break this down as follows:

💙 8 count
💙 6 count
💙 4 count
💙 2 count

💙 when your participants have nailed it then add on new moves.

Tips....
📍repeat and check in with your participants as you add new movements
📍know your music and bpm
📍make it fun enjoyable for everyone

Welcome to Week 13 Aqua Move of the week 💪🏻🎉 💦

Week 13 is Rock N Rolls

Today Adel Way’s Fitness has put together a rock n roll combo using the wall of the pool and also options for level 1 (supported hold) level 2 (hands free)

💙 level 1 - supported hold with alternating leg slides
💙 level 2 - alternating high knees

💙 level 1 - supported hold jumping jacks on the wall
💙 level 2 - suspended jumping jacks on wall

💙 level 1 - supported rock n roll

💙 level 2 - suspended rock n roll

Tips....
📍stabilize through the core to avoid hyper extension in lumbar region (lower back)
📍level 2 ensure to keep those arms moving to support each of the moves and keep you close to the wall
📍push back those legs off the wall with your rock n roll and use your core to pull them back through.

Welcome to Week 11 Aqua Move of the week 💪🏻🎉 💦

Week 11 is Jumps

Today has put together four jump variations in a tabata format

💦 Rockets - push off the floor straighten the legs and push both arms backwards.
💦 Explosive Jacks - push off the floor extend legs and arms outwards abduction and then pull back in adduction. Feet meet grounded in centre position along with arms.
💦 Explosive Ski's - push off the floor extend opposite legs forward/backwards and meet grounded in centre position. Arms extend forwards/backwards opposite to the legs.
💦 Tuck Jumps - push off the floor and tuck knees in towards chest, push both arms backwards simultaneously.

Tips....
📍Utilise arms throughout each to assist with propulsion
📍Incorporate these moves in any format - tabata, amrap, emom, combos, circuits.
📍Switch on your core, squeeze your gluten, bend through the knees when grounding.

Welcome to Week 10 Aqua Move of the week 💪🏻🎉 💦

Week 10 is Push-up's

Today has put together push-up variations utilising a pool noodle.

💦 two hands on pool noodle in front of body pushing towards pool floor
💦 standing push-up's fully grounded
💦 single leg extension each side
💦 alternating rebounding leg extensions

💦 Switch noodle behind back and repeat above

Tips....
📍Switch on the core muscles to assist with balance
📍Demonstrate to your participants on pool deck using a pool noodle
📍Perform these push-up's with or without equipment and adjust to suit your participants

Welcome to Week 7 Aqua Move of the week 💪 🎉

Week 7 is Arms - Equipment Focus 💪🏻🥊

Today has put together a combo using the Liquid Gloves from using vertical hands & horizontal hands in various holds including - jabs, jab/cross & hooks. Initiate Arm Burn 💪🔥

Tips....
💦 switch on the core and stabilse feet on the pool floor
💦 allow freedom of movement through the side obliques to assist with punches... this will also give them a little workout
💦 be sure to cue your participants on the change between vertical & horizontal hands
💦 keep shoulders and arms down in the water to avoid tension on the neck and jaw
💦 Bring on the arm burn 🔥💪🏻🥊

Welcome to Week 4 Aqua Move of the week 💪 🎉

Week 4 Side Jogs a great way to work against water resistance

Today gives you a fun little combo

💦 Side Jog left with left scooping arm
💦 Double side kick left
💦 Hold it up suspended and pivot
💦 Crunch those knees back towards your chest
💦 Push the legs back to Reground
💦 Repeat until you have completed a full square then change directions to the right side.

📍 I like to do an arm work out or different combo in between working each direction after completing a full square. This adds variety and keeps the participants engaged.

Tips....
✔️ Breakdown this combo for your participants into single movements and slowly add on if needed.
✔️ Utilise arms to assist with stability.
✔️ Enjoy your aqua fitness workout 😘

Sometimes A Workout is All the Therapy you Need

Hi I’m Adel - Fitness has always been a major part of my life, as a young girl I commenced Calisthenics then progressed through to Little Athletics and then Netball. Netball remained a big part of my weekly extracurricular activities up to my late teens when I ruptured my Cruciate Ligament. After surgery and rehab I continued to play on a casual basis. For a period of nearly 4 years I relocated and lived in Chicago, USA where I continued my love of fitness by attending the gym on a nightly basis enjoying Billy Blanks Tae Bo, weekend bike rides and walks along the boardwalk of Lake Michigan.

On returning to Australia I joined a local gym for a number of years then one day whilst attending my daughters swimming lessons I discovered aqua fitness. It was time for a change so took the plunge and attended an aqua cardio session at Parafield Gardens Swim School. Well the rest they say is history…….

In January 2016 I qualified as an Acquapole Level 1 Tone Instructor, I continued my studies and obtained a Cert III in Fitness and extended my qualifications to incorporate modules specific to Aquatic Fitness. I have since obtained qualifications in Acquapole Elastics, Acquapole Boxing, Acquapole Circuit Fusion, SAF Drum Vibes, Aqua Step, Aqua Seniors, Aqua Cardio, Aqua Strength, Shallow Water Applications, PABA (Parents and Babies Aqua), Punchfit and PoundPro over the past four years.

I love going to work everyday as a Fitness Instructor, structuring interesting sessions that keep participants bodies and minds in peak condition, meeting new people and assisting them to reach their personal health and fitness goals. “Sometimes A Workout is All the Therapy One Needs. As a participant in both land and aquatic fitness for over 7 years I continue enjoying all forms of fitness in addition to making a splash and maximising the properties of water to maintain my healthy lifestyle as well as others.
