✨ Red Carpet Moments in Dallas! ✨

This past weekend, the Inaugural Gala of the United States Chapter of Legetyo Queens lit up Dallas, Texas in true elegance and celebration.

The event brought together women from the Kalenjin community—both those residing in the U.S. and abroad, as well as those married into the community. It was an evening dedicated to honoring the resilience of women who have risen above challenges, built thriving homes and careers, and continued giving back to their roots.

The gala was filled with laughter, music, dance, and cultural delicacies. A special highlight was the powerful keynote address delivered by Emily Korir Tanui, CEO of BET Group and President of the Legetyo Queens Australia Chapter. Her inspiring words on uplifting women from underprivileged backgrounds deeply resonated, as they reflect her own remarkable journey.

🌟 The Faces of BET 🌟

Today marks the beginning of our new Friday series—where we introduce you to the amazing people who make BET what it is.

And who better to start with than our very own CEO, Emily Korir Tanui.

Emily is so much more than her title. She is a devoted wife and mother, a passionate disability empowerment advocate, a philanthropist, business leader, mentor, author, and an inspiration to everyone who crosses her path.

This clip takes us back to the launch of her book, Against All Odds, a story that captures the heart of her incredible journey.

From humble beginnings in a small village in Kenya—born out of her mother’s painful ordeal at the age of 13—Emily’s life has been a story of resilience, faith, and unstoppable determination. She has overcome challenges most would never imagine, rising to boardrooms, international recognition, royal honors, exclusive events, and even making it onto the Forbes list here in Australia.

And yet, meet her in person and you’ll be greeted with a simple smile and the words:
"Hi, I’m Emily."
That humility is what makes her shine even brighter.
