Louise Pascale, Community Advocate

Louise Pascale, Community Advocate I was a Councillor for Adelaide Hills Council. I passionately believe we need strong representation for our suburbs.

As a resident of Woodforde I believe we need to be with a Council that can deliver the services we need. Authorised by Louise Pascale, PO Box 2046 Magill North SA 5072

This is an interesting project to watch. The sound economic growth of the Campbelltown City Council means it can undertake ambitious projects like this for its community.

If you are a Council resident, you will receive a consultation pack in your letterbox to make it easy for you to provide feedback. The pack will contain details about each option, including how you can get involved and participate in the consultation.

Shares in 1414 Degrees more than tripled last week, and the ASX took notice, asking for the company to explain the acceleration.

As we know, our communities suffer the most from this toxic culture. We not only lose great leaders in our community who are bullied out, our rates pay for petty BS. This review is much needed and I hope it is able to w**d out those who are thriving in this environment by wasting money which could be spent on footpaths and lighting.

I genuinely applaud Cr Adrian Cheater for his motion to investigate why Adelaide Hills Councillors have such a low attendance rate. I expect my absence prior to resigning will be documented but the reasons why may not.

A thorough and comprehensive review should ask for input from Councillors who resigned - it may help them uncover cultural issues. The Our Watch Toolkit which I introduced to AHC would expect that. Interested to see what comes of this.

For clarification his motion is directed at Elected Members, but when you look at the data the highest rates are all women.

We had a great turn out for the Woodforde Residents Association AGM and planning session last weekend. This year we included a talk from Senior Sergeant Michelle O'Reilly about crime in Woodforde.

What was interesting only 6 incidents over the last 3 mths have been reported. While it may feel like more has happened if it is not reported there is no way SAPOL can compile the data to look at a pattern of behaviour.

Woodforde is not a Neighbourhood Watch area but the WRA will look at ways we can work with the principles of this program more effectively.

Spot these in your letterbox recenlty? Or did you meet one of our association committee members out door knocking?
We really hope Woodforde residents can join us on Sunday as we plan out the year ahead and look at how we can make our beautiful community even more beautiful.

Headlines like this infuriate me. Anyone who had dealings with Xtraordinary know how difficult they were at times. I’m thinking of all those residents impacted in Hamilton Hill.

While on Council I made concerns and issues from residents known. However planning laws mean Councils are only required to inspect a third of new builds and renovations across their whole jurisdiction.

I’ll leave you to do the maths.

With a new development of high to medium density it’s a shame they weren’t more pro active, it would have been a huge support for residents.

Took a walk around Lewis Yarluperka O'Brien Reserve last week - nice to see the Council put in a gravel path so residents and visitors can walk safely around it. Sadly in front of the last large gum named Mukarta (Head) are remnants of a dump.

I think it is great that in our community the Council has undertaken naming of significant Kaurna areas in our community. But it falls a bit short in my opinion that in front of these significant areas still lies waste and rubbish.

Surely our rates can pay for a bit of remediation in the area? It's bad enough that walking through Hamilton Hill we are constantly seeing discarded waste from building sites.

In my rates notice this week I saw the annual business plan is seeing us pay for a new waste collection program (and I did endorse that while on Council). I'd love it if our rates also paid for remediation on Kaurna land and Rangers fining builders who are using our streets as a dump.

Out of sight out of mind?
