Vaccination during pregnancy plays an important role in protecting both mother and baby.

In this video, Sandy, Midwife and Clinic Nurse at Adelaide Obstetrics and Fertility, explains the three vaccines commonly recommended during pregnancy as part of the National Immunisation Program.

These vaccines help protect newborns during their most vulnerable early months, before their own immune systems are fully developed.

If you have questions about vaccinations during pregnancy or would like to discuss what is recommended for you, our team is here to listen, answer your questions and support you with the right information and care.

Each year, Red Nose Australia Safe Sleep Week is a gentle reminder that small steps can make a meaningful difference in keeping babies safe during sleep.

This year’s message from Red Nose Australia is Know the Why. Check the Space. Make it Safe. It encourages families to understand why safe sleep matters, take a moment to look at their baby’s sleep environment and make simple changes if something does not look right.

At Adelaide Obstetrics and Fertility, we know the early weeks with a newborn can bring many questions and moments of uncertainty. Our team is here to offer trusted guidance and practical advice so you can feel supported and confident as you care for your baby.

If you have questions about safe sleep or newborn care, please contact our team. We are here to listen, answer your questions and support you every step of the way.

Newborn noises and little reflexes can raise lots of questions in the early days.

In this video, Adelaide Obstetrics and Fertility-affiliated Paediatrician Dr Sanjay Sinhal explains what is normal when it comes to sneezing, hiccups and small milk spills and what signs may need medical review. Many of these everyday occurrences are simply part of newborn adjustment, while changes in feeding, temperature or behaviour are important to check.

Dr Morgan Pettman and the team at Adelaide Obstetrics & Fertility were honoured to support Kori and Jonathon through their twin pregnancy and the safe arrival of Lettie and Digby.

Twin pregnancies require more frequent monitoring, detailed planning and specialist oversight to support the health of both babies and their mother. From early scans through to delivery planning and postnatal care, every step is carefully considered and individualised.

Providing experienced, obstetric-led care for multiple pregnancies is an important part of what we do. It is a privilege to guide families through the unique journey of welcoming twins and to help them feel informed, reassured and well supported throughout.
